12.23.09 Gassiot Farm

Finally a good duck hunt! The pond remains mysterious with unpredictable bags, no decoys needed and only good after some nice cold fronts. Great time with the fellas and of course an hour stay at the ol' Blue Bird to follow. Can't wait to go back.

I will note that the most memorable part of this trip was watching lanky Bdog hand out the window and manually wipe the downpour from the windshield:)

12.19.09 Robby's Pond

Fun time with Collin and David, E-Man wasn't too up for a second hunt after a slow first day. Loved the company, we let about 6 get out of our spread but it was a fun day. Cami officially is either possessed by a doggy demon or taken by her false pregnancy bit, so she's done for this year which makes me sad but what can ya do, the moron thinks she's pregnant!

THE SCOUT: Collin and E-Man are headin down and Johnny boy and I are taking them to Robby's pond. I'm guessing 6-8 birds but I hope we punch out:)

THE HUNT: Well, it's always fun being with my cousin, but we got skunked on this doozy!

12.15.09 Wither's Spot Krum

John had a great scout on this pond, but once we arrived we found out he actually scouted a bunch of decoys on the pond!

Had a great time with John and Brandon, but we didn't slaughter them. This pond has some geese that like to come in, as well as a few birds but not a ton. This was also the day when Brandon got his brand new layout stolen!

First hunt back from the split and the cold weather has finally brought the birds down. We just went to our South wind spot and a lot of birds were there but we were set up in the wrong spot. Fun hunt, poor shooting and too long of shots for the most part.
